12/01/2016 Christmas party at Springfield Conservation Nature Center

We will have our MTFA Christmas party and annual meeting on Thursday, December 1, at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center at 6pm. We will have both class rooms with the dividing wall pulled aside. We decided to cater the dinner even though the cost exceeded the budgeted amount. We decided we would divvy up the excess expense among those attending. That amount is $5/plate. Please pay at the door.  If you plan to attend but haven’t notified me yet, please RSVP immediately to Bob Randall at 417-224-1104.

Please bring a raffle prize to give away. We will sell raffle tickets at the event for our annual charity for under privileged students.  Raffle tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5.  This streamer, the Pink Lady,pink-lady-hook-used-a-rarity-made-by-gaelic-supreme-size-1-that-is-no-longer-produced

will be in the MTFA Springfield Christmas raffle. The hook used is a rarity made by Gaelic Supreme, size 1, that is no longer produced. Donated by MTFA member Larry Wegmann. Raffle proceeds will go to disadvantaged children at the Pipkin Middle School. Larry’s daughter, Jill Palmer, leverages the money through various retailers for items the kids need. Her efforts in getting “extra donations” boosts our donation by several multiples. Thanks, Larry and Jill.

We will elect our 2017 officers at this annual meeting. Nominations have been submitted but they will also be accepted from the floor at the meeting.

The Nature Center is at 4601 S Nature Center Way, Springfield, MO. From US65 and US60, go west on US60 to Glenstone exit, after exiting turn right (south) staying in left lane, turn left (east) on the frontage road which is Nature Center Way, go to the end and turn right. Enter the building through the east door.
