Pattie Hayes a MTFA member has been tying flies for a long time. Every MTFA meeting, she is tying Flies. Every fly tying event, at the Nature Center, Bass Pro Shop or where ever there is a table, she is tying flies. Pattie gave me this fly at one of our fly tying events. She called it a variation of the Gray Sparrow. I have searched the internet for all variation of the Sparrow, and non look like this. So that is why I am give it a name – the Pattie’s Bead Head Sparrow Variant.
