Info needed on antique bobbin

Check out the pictures attached. Does anyone know anything about this thread Bobbin. It has J and D stamp on it and the thread goes though a slot at the top of the Bobbin. How made it? When was it made? Thanks, MTFA Librarian: Dennis Stead – dmstead@aol.com
