The Springfield Chapter held its annual chili feed on Saturday, October 20, at the Shepherd of the Hills Hatchery Pavilion. Some members fished before and after with varying results. It just so happened that the Kansas City Chapter also held its annual Taneycomo fishing outing that weekend. They joined us along with several Branson Chapter members. At one point we counted 28 people there but it seemed that people were coming and going so we probably had between 30 and 35 there. There was lots of food and tall stories. The Branson Fly Fishing Expo raffled off a TFO 5 wt, 8’6” rod with a reel. It was won by Dick Solomon of the Springfield Chapter. The proceeds from that raffle totalled $186 which will be donated to the Springfield Chapter for their Christmas charity. All who attended had a good time. Those of you who didn’t missed out.
