The Turkey Biot Midge was given to my by Ralph Eichholz, a MTFA member.  I was surprised because every time I see him tying flies they are soft hackle flies.  When he first came to the area many years ago, that was one of his  favorite fly.

Materials:

  1. Hook: Tiemco TMC2499SP-BL or TMC2487
  2. Hook Size: 14, 16, 18, 20
  3. Head: Brass Bead (color your choice) 14 – 3.2mm, 16 – 2.8mm, 18 – 2.4mm, 20 – 2.0mm
  4. Body: Turkey Biot
  5. Thread: UNI-Thread 8/0, color to match Thorax
  6. Thorax: Super Fine Dubbing ( color your choice)
